Protect Your Energy: Create the Best Version of You


Life Force Energy

One of the most important things I have learned in life is about energy. Everything in life is made out of energy that we cannot see. We give and we take energy from everything around us. Learning how to control your own energy and its fluctuations throughout the day takes conscious effort.

Everyday when you wake up you have a choice as to how you want your day to go. You set in your mind, either consciously or unconsciously, that your day will be good or bad based on your attitude and whether you want to create a pleasant or an unpleasant day of experiences. Regardless of what happens to you throughout your day, you have the power to see the good and the bad in each situation and you have the power to change it. How you react to unpleasant situations is your choice. I have suffered from depression and it can be triggering when someone tells me to cheer up or just be positive. Everything will not come easy to us in life. Just because something is challenging, it does not mean we should not make small efforts to overcome the battles. Depression is a battle that cannot be fought alone and it won’t be overnight, but that is a subject for another blog entry. In this context, I am referring to those moments when we can control how angry we get when someone cuts us off on the road or how long we choose to cry over the person who broke our hearts. Our emotions and our intentions have energy and this energy creates physiological effects that deteriorate the body. Our life force energy has the power to create and destroy; to heal and to degenerate.


Being Mindful

We live in a reality of constant action and reaction, or, cause and affect. Everything that exists is energy in motion from the tiniest working white blood cells to the power of the sun. Over the past few years I have discovered many things about myself that has helped me to understand why I do the things I do. Being an empath is when you are affected by other people’s energies, and have an innate ability to intuitively feel and perceive others.  Your life is unconsciously influenced by others’ desires, wishes, thoughts, and moods. It is important to be mindful of your thoughts and intentions that you send out into the world because you influence the energy of the world and others. Your goal should be to contribute as much positive energy into your day.


Being mindful of our thoughts and actions changes the frequency of our vibrational energy. The higher the frequency, the more you can affect the reality around you in a positive way. Lower vibrational frequencies have been proven the create “dis-ease” in our lives, physically and mentally.


Choose Yourself Everyday

There has to come a day when you become deliberate with yourself. Wake up and choose you everyday. We are spiritual beings experiencing a physical reality that we have created. God has given us a machine (the body) to navigate through this reality; we just have to pay attention.  We have to be mindful to what our natural instincts tells us to do to be our best selves. These machines function best on certain foods and water. If you know that vegetables and fruits and exercise help you to be better, why do we consciously choose to eat junk that makes us feel tired and gain weight?

Choose yourself everyday by making the best decisions for you. One of the best things I learned for myself was saying “No”. I was so used to giving myself to everything and everybody that I neglected my own happiness. Take a mental health day from work. Stay home on a Friday night and watch your favorite shows. Treat yourself at the mall or a day at the spa. Take some time and work on your hobbies; find things to do that will bring out your creative side. When you feel good on the inside, you look good on the outside. Self-care should always be your number one priority.

Here are some tips that I believe are helpful for maintaining balanced mental and physical energy.
